Dinosaurs Return for the Spring School Holidays

Melbourne’s favourite prehistoric adventure is back!

After a sell-out season last year, DinoFest Melbourne is returning to Nortons Park in Wantirna South for the 2026 spring school holidays.

Running from 19 September to 4 October, with additional sessions on 10–11 October 2026, DinoFest brings more than 30 life-size, walking and interactive dinosaurs to the park.

Designed especially for children aged nine and under, families can get up close to a Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, Ankylosaurus and plenty of baby dinosaurs – plus a huge T. Rex and towering Brachiosaurus along the Dino Trail.

What’s New at DinoFest Melbourne?

Two adorable baby robot dinosaurs will make their DinoFest debut this spring. Smaller, speedier and seriously cute, they’re set to be a favourite with little dinosaur fans.

Each 90-minute session also includes a 45-minute Dinosaur Encounter live show, plus hands-on activities including:

🦖 Dino Dig
🦴 Feel a Fossil with real dinosaur bones
🎨 Dinosaur arts and crafts
🦕 Dino Trail with 30+ dinosaurs
🦖 Up-close walking dinosaur encounters
