One of Melbourne’s most magical winter experiences is back! Lightscape has returned to the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, transforming the gardens into a glowing wonderland filled with spectacular light installations, immersive soundscapes and breathtaking artworks.

Running from 12 June to 2 August 2026, this award-winning event features brand-new installations from Australian and international artists, creating a completely new journey for visitors to explore after dark.

As you wander along the 2.1km trail, you’ll discover glowing pathways, giant illuminated sculptures, interactive displays and magical moments around every corner.

There are also plenty of food and drink options along the way, including hot chocolate and winter treats to keep everyone warm.
