The Australian Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair has made a triumphant return to Melbourne, captivating industry professionals and select enthusiasts alike.
Held from March 2nd to 5th, 2025, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, this exclusive trade-only event has once again showcased the latest innovations in toys, hobbies, and licensed products.

While the fair remains closed to the general public, we were fortunate to be among a select group—including media representatives, bloggers, and influencers, along with their children—granted a sneak peek into this year’s offerings. The event was a paradise for toy lovers, showcasing the latest and greatest in the industry. From testing the newest toys before they hit the shelves to discovering some incredible new brands, it was truly a toy lover’s dream.
The fair featured approximately 200 exhibitors, presenting a diverse array of products ranging from traditional toys and games to the latest in hobby and licensed merchandise. We had the unique opportunity to test upcoming products before their official release and engage with emerging brands making their debut in the industry.

Organized by the Australian Toy Association, the event not only highlighted the vibrant and innovative spirit of the toy industry but also set the stage for exciting developments in 2025.

The excitement was palpable as exhibitors unveiled their newest creations, many of which we had the chance to test before they hit the shelves. A highlight for my kids was the life-sized Gabby’s Dollhouse display and the giant pool ball from Wahu, while the presence of beloved characters like Superman, Supergirl, and Barney the Dinosaur added an extra layer of magic.

The anticipation for upcoming family movies like Jurassic World Rebirth, How to Train Your Dragon, and the new Lilo & Stitch was also a major draw, with dedicated exhibits creating plenty of buzz.
While the general public awaits the release of these exciting new products, the Australian Toy Hobby and Licensing Fair continues to play a crucial role in shaping the future of playtime in Australia and beyond.
