LIT Festival Returns to Werribee in 2026

Dazzling New Glow (FREE Event)

One of Melbourne’s most loved free night events is returning to the west!

The LIT Festival is back for 2026, transforming Wyndham Park in Werribee into a magical glowing wonderland filled with large-scale illuminated art, interactive installations and mesmerising projections.

Running for 10 nights from 24 April to 3 May, this popular Wyndham City event is completely free to attend and perfect for families looking for something special to do after dark.

What is LIT Festival?

LIT is an award-winning outdoor light festival that brings together artists from across Australia to create spectacular illuminated artworks throughout Wyndham Park.

As the sun sets, the park comes alive with glowing sculptures, projections, tunnels of light and immersive art installations that visitors can explore at their own pace.

For 2026, the event returns with all-new installations and an earlier start time, running nightly from 6pm to 10pm.

Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning after previous years, expect to see the park completely transformed in a magical new way.

Highlights for 2026

Some of the exciting artworks featured this year include:

Breeze – Bruce Ramus

A stunning new installation featuring seven flowing veils suspended between earth and sky, animated by wind, light and colour.

Macula – H0RSE

A spiralling bamboo tunnel filled with moving light that creates an immersive sensory experience.

Silent Observers – H0RSE

A powerful projection work exploring the enduring presence of trees in the landscape.

Cassowaries – A Blanck Canvas

Whimsical larger-than-life cassowary sculptures that are sure to become a favourite photo spot.

Pixel Sky – Studio John Fish

A canopy of glowing light overhead combining art and technology.

Interwoven Tree – Rebecca Kable

A series of thoughtful illuminated images along the Gobo Path created by local Wyndham artist Rebecca Kable.
