Balloon Story Melbourne

If you’re looking for something a little different to do with the kids these holidays, Balloon Story has officially landed in Melbourne – and it’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Fresh from a hugely popular New York season, this immersive exhibition transforms entire rooms into giant balloon-built worlds. Every creature, landscape and detail is made entirely from biodegradable balloons, creating a colourful journey through time and imagination.

Visitors move through a series of themed spaces, each designed as a cinematic scene. Think towering dinosaurs, ancient civilisations, underwater realms and futuristic space worlds – all crafted at a massive scale using hundreds of thousands of balloons.

It’s bright, joyful and incredibly photogenic, with lots of moments where kids (and adults) will stop and stare in disbelief. Despite being balloon-based, the detail and craftsmanship are impressive, and each room feels completely different from the last.

Indoor experience (perfect for hot or rainy days) Easy to explore at your own pace Plenty of visual wow moments for all ages Great mix of art, play and imagination
