If you’re looking for a brilliant playground to check out in Melbourne’s east, Officer District Park is well worth adding to your list.

We stopped in here on our way home from Gumbuya World, and honestly… best decision ever. Within minutes, the kids were climbing, sliding, racing and flat-out refusing to leave.

This playground is huge and built right into the hillside, which means long, fast slides, loads of climbing challenges and plenty of space to run, explore and burn off energy.

It’s especially great for older kids who love a challenge, but there are also sections suited to younger children too — which meant everyone was happy (a rare parenting win ).

It’s the kind of playground where kids can really let loose, and parents should be prepared to climb a little as well. Comfy shoes are a must!

If you’re heading through Officer or already planning a day out in the east, this is such an easy stop to add on — especially if you’re nearby after a day at Gumbuya World.
