Get ready to head Far Far Away — Shrek The Musical is arriving in Melbourne this summer and it’s set to be one of the standout family shows of the 2025–26 school holidays.

Based on the much-loved DreamWorks film, this live stage production is packed with laughs, heart and fairytale chaos. With dazzling West End–style sets, show-stopping songs and a professional cast bringing Shrek, Fiona and Donkey to life, it’s big, bold and thoroughly entertaining for kids and adults alike.

Beyond the laughs, the story delivers beautiful messages around friendship, courage and embracing what makes us different – making it a feel-good theatre experience for audiences aged four and up.

Perfectly timed for the school holidays, Shrek The Musical runs for approximately two hours (including a 20-minute interval) and features affordable tickets from $50 per person. Families can also enjoy photo opportunities, themed merchandise and fun extras in the foyer before and after the show. Please note the production includes haze and strobe effects.
