From the moment you’re picked up around 7am, it feels like the start of a magical day. As the morning fog lifts and the animals wake up, you’re welcomed straight into the Sumatran Buffalo House area for a generous buffet breakfast surrounded by nature.

You’re not just watching the orangutans – you’re sharing your morning with them as they swing, play, and wander through their outdoor playground.
Our kids absolutely thrive here because it’s so hands-on. Beyond the orangutans, they get to:

Located in Gianyar, just 20 minutes from Ubud and close to Kuta, Sanur, and Seminyak, Bali Zoo is privately owned and home to 650 animals across 65 species. The zoo is known for its conservation-minded approach, enrichment programs, and lush, natural habitats.
