Romp & Stomp – Into the Wild at Melbourne Museum!

Step into a world of curious creatures, music, and imagination as Romp & Stomp returns to Melbourne Museum for one spectacular day only!

On Saturday 25 October 2025 (10am–2pm), families are invited to celebrate Children’s Week with a jam-packed program of live performances, storytelling, workshops and animal-inspired fun.

Event Highlights

Emma Memma Live on Stage – ARIA award-winning children’s entertainer Emma Memma will take the main stage (1.30–2pm) with her brand-new Dance Island Party show, filled with music, movement and playful surprises.

Performances will also be Auslan interpreted, with a livestream in the Museum Plaza if foyer space reaches capacity.

Mini Menagerie Parade – (12–1pm) Kids aged 2–12 are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite animal and strut, stomp, or slither through the main foyer in the cutest costume parade around.

Kiki & Zuki – (ticketed, ages 6–12) A beautiful wordless performance followed by a creative workshop where kids can bring their own imaginative characters to life.

Insect Impressions – (10am–2pm) Craft your very own insect mask – choose between a black bull ant or a green praying mantis – and take it home as a reminder of the day.

Meet Trio the Triceratops – Say hello to a friendly baby dino who loves meeting new friends throughout the day.

Face Painting, Storytelling & More Wander through the museum and discover pop-up activities, interactive play zones and creative experiences designed especially for little explorers.
