Looking for a bellissimo day out the whole family will love? Mark your calendars – Preston Market’s beloved Italian Day Festival is back on Sunday 31 August 2025, and it’s set to be bigger, bolder, and more delicious than ever!
From 8am to 3pm, Preston Market will transform into a slice of Italy, bursting with la dolce vita – think live music, traditional dancing, delicious Italian eats, and loads of free family fun. Whether you’re chasing tiramisu and tarantella or looking for a day of culture and community, this FREE festival is not to be missed!
Live Music, Dancing & Entertainment
The celebrations truly kick off from 10am, with a jam-packed line-up of entertainment that’ll have you tapping your toes and singing along in no time. Enjoy the sounds of Lorenzo + Co, marvel at the energy of the Tarantella dancers, and be swept away by the harmonies of the Veneto Choir. Expect spontaneous dance circles and plenty of joy in the piazza!
Food, Glorious Food!
Let’s be honest – we all come for the food, and this year’s line-up is chef’s kiss. From zeppole donuts by Sorelle Catering, to creamy tiramisu from Pinto, gelato by Destination Gelato, crispy panzerotti by Il Panzerotto, chickpea fritters from Palermo Street Food, and the cult favourite Mama’s Polpette – there’s something for every craving.
Plus, grown-ups can sip on craft gin at the Gindu pop-up or swing past the Lions Club stall and support a great cause (with cake, of course!).
Free Fun for the Kids
From 10am to 1pm, little ones can enjoy free kids’ activities, while grown-ups soak in the sounds and flavours of Italy. It’s the perfect family day out, and there’s plenty of space for prams, nannas, and nonnas alike!
Beyond the food and fun, there’ll be a chance to connect with community services like Co.As.It. and Dovida, and even get your currency sorted with Forex Exchange. And of course, don’t forget to explore the usual buzz of Preston Market – home to over 130 incredible stalls.
