A Spooky-Luxe Experience Not to Miss!
If you’re a fan of the strange and unusual (and fabulous high teas!), then you’re in for a theatrical treat at The Westin Melbourne. We were recently invited to experience their Beetlejuice The Musical High Tea & Cocktails – and trust us, it was equal parts quirky, spooky, and delicious.
Located just steps away from the iconic Regent Theatre, The Westin is the official accommodation partner for Beetlejuice the Musical, and they’ve gone all out to bring the show’s chaotic charm to life with a high tea that’s anything but ordinary.
A Menu to Die For (In the Best Way!)
From start to finish, every bite and sip was inspired by the show’s playful, supernatural vibe. The themed menu is split into three wickedly fun sections:

Sweets from the Netherworld
‘Say My Name’ steamed chocolate petit cake Blueberry opera cake with lime ganache Apple of Sandworm’s Eye (apple + mascarpone delight!) Shrunken Head tartlet with bergamot and passionfruit And of course, scones – both vanilla and devilish dark chocolate – served with whipped (s)cream!
Cocktail Hour with a Twist
The experience includes a themed cocktail (or mocktail), tea and coffee. We went for “Lydia’s Lament” and “The Ghost with the Most” – both as theatrical as they sound. There’s also a whole cocktail menu to explore, including “Handbook for the Recently Absinth’ed” and “The Deadbeat’s Delight” (non-alcoholic).
The presentation was playful and spooky-chic, with treats that looked like they came straight from the Netherworld. Add in the luxe interiors and city views from The Westin Melbourne, and you’ve got yourself a high tea like no other.
Whether you’re seeing the show or just want a fabulously spooky afternoon out, this high tea is one of Melbourne’s most creative and theatrical dining experiences this season.
