Annie the Musical hits Princess Theatre from 8 July
Get ready, Melbourne – one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals is returning to the stage in a dazzling new Australian production! Annie – The Musical will light up the iconic Princess Theatre from 8 July 2025, following its successful Sydney season.
This heartwarming classic tells the story of the optimistic orphan with the fiery red curls who wins over the famously wealthy (and grumpy) Daddy Warbucks during the Great Depression. It’s a story of hope, resilience and found family – brought to life by a stellar cast and unforgettable songs like Tomorrow, It’s the Hard-Knock Life, Easy Street and more.

What makes this production special?
Anthony Warlow returns as Daddy Warbucks, a role he made famous in Australia – and on Broadway!
Musical theatre favourite Debora Krizak stars as the hilariously wicked Miss Hannigan
Look out for original Yellow Wiggle Greg Page making his musical debut as President Roosevelt
Featuring four brilliant young performers rotating as Annie and an ensemble packed with local and international talent
Directed by Karen Johnson Mortimer and choreographed by Mitchell Woodcock
Whether you grew up loving the film, or you’re introducing your kids to Annie for the first time, this stage production promises laughs, goosebumps, and a whole lot of heart.
