Amazon State in Hawthorn has curated an incredible Mother’s Day menu that promises a feast to remember, perfect for families wanting to treat their loved ones to something truly special.

For $99 per adult and $45 per child, Amazon State’s menu is a celebration of fine produce, warm hospitality and beautiful moments shared over food.


The Mother’s Day Menu starts with a mouth-watering antipasto to share – featuring house-made focaccia with whipped butter, dry-aged San Daniele prosciutto, and delicate Hiramasa Kingfish crudo.

Then it’s onto a choice of individual mains:

Casarecce pasta with calamari ragu, banana prawns, lemon and chilli, O’Connors scotch fillet with thyme and mushroom purée, wagyu crackling, pepper and cognac sauce, Charcoal Lilydale chicken with charred corn, prosciutto and Chianti jus, Or John Dory with zucchini purée, datterini and green olive salsa.

Sides include decadent truffle and parmesan roast potatoes and a fresh mesclun salad with capers and orange dressing.

To finish? A stunning “Hunted and Gathered” chocolate mousse with coffee popping candy and textures of raspberry.


For the little ones, the kids menu ($45pp) lets them choose from favourites like mushroom arancini, prawn skewers or meatballs to start, schnitzels, hamburgers, or spaghetti Napoli for mains, and gelato or chocolate mousse for dessert.

Meet the talented team behind the delicious dishes at Amazon State! Leading the kitchen is Head Chef Tom O’Sullivan (pictured right), an Irishman whose impressive career has taken him from London to Ireland, and now to some of Melbourne’s best kitchens, including Abacus and Rockpool. Tom brings his world of experience, creativity and a true passion for flavour to every dish served at Amazon State.

Joining him is Chef Matt Sach (pictured left), a seasoned chef who has headed up some of Melbourne’s beloved Italian eateries like Matteo’s and SUD Food and Wine. Tom and Matt have worked together on and off for nearly a decade, and their long-standing friendship shines through in the kitchen. From perfecting the 1.4kg Tomahawk to serving fan favourites like the Kingfish Crudo, Tom and Matt are all about innovation, heart and delivering exceptional dining experiences for every guest.
