‘A Minecraft Movie’ Drops a New Trailer!

The Ultimate Adventure

Get ready to enter the Overworld like never before! Universal Pictures, on behalf of Warner Bros. Pictures, has just released the brand-new trailer for A Minecraft Movie, the highly anticipated live-action adaptation of the world’s best-selling video game.

A Star-Studded Cast Meets a Blocky New World

Directed by Jared Hess (Nacho Libre), A Minecraft Movie brings together a powerhouse cast, led by Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers (Wednesday), Oscar nominee Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), and comedy icon Jennifer Coolidge.

In this epic adventure, four ordinary misfits—Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison (Momoa), Henry (Sebastian Eugene Hansen), Natalie (Myers), and Dawn (Brooks)—are unexpectedly pulled into the pixelated world of Minecraft through a mysterious portal. Suddenly, survival isn’t just a game—it’s their new reality. To navigate the Overworld and find their way home, they must master crafting, fight off dangerous mobs like Piglins and Zombies, and team up with the ultimate Minecraft pro, Steve (Jack Black).

A Legendary Production Team

Bringing Minecraft’s blocky universe to life is an award-winning creative team, including BAFTA-nominated cinematographer Enrique Chediak (127 Hours), Oscar-winning production designer Grant Major (The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King), and Oscar-winning VFX supervisor Dan Lemmon (The Jungle Book). Adding to the film’s magic, the soundtrack is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The LEGO® Movies).
