Disney fans, rejoice! We’ve been invited to experience a limited-edition dessert that combines the enchantment of Disney with the culinary artistry of Madeleine de Proust. If you love Disney and desserts as much as we do, this is a must-visit!

Madeleine de Proust in Carlton is offering a special creation that captures the essence of Disney magic. In collaboration with Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, co-owners Rong Yao Soh and Hyoju Park have crafted a unique limited edition madeleine that is both a visual and gastronomic delight.

At Madeleine de Proust, every pastry tells a story. Soh and Park, both seasoned bakers with experience at Michelin-starred restaurants like Mingles in Seoul and Galvin at Windows in London, bring their expertise and creativity to each creation. Their approach to the humble madeleine transforms it into something extraordinary.

Madeleines at this patisserie are not your typical treats. These small, shell-shaped cakes are reinvented with imaginative twists, such as a pistachio-shaped madeleine filled with white chocolate, pistachio cream, and raspberry jam, or a cacao pod lookalike with dark chocolate and passionfruit ganache, topped with coconut streusel. Each bite brings about a sense of nostalgia and wonder.
For their latest creation, Madeleine de Proust turned to “The Most Magical Place on Earth” for inspiration. Disney’s iconic symbols and motifs from EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom Park served as muses for this enchanting dessert. The result is “A Touch of Magic,” a madeleine that bridges the gap between fine desserts, childhood memories, and Disney’s whimsical world.

This magical dessert features a purple-blue chocolate shell, reminiscent of Cinderella Castle, complete with edible glitter that calls to mind Tinkerbell’s pixie dust. Shooting stars decorate the shell, inspired by Disney’s Wishing Star. The flavour is a delightful blend of orange and vanilla. Each bite is fragrant, and buttery the perfect mix.
Creating this Disney-inspired delight requires meticulous skill. The white chocolate shell must be tempered carefully to achieve its glossy finish, while the vanilla marshmallow inside needs to be set just right to maintain its shape and texture. The result is a dessert that looks magical and tastes even better.
This special-edition madeleine is available for just one week, from May 18 to May 26, or until sold out.
So, if you’re a Disney fan, make sure to visit Madeleine de Proust during this limited window. It’s a magical experience for your taste buds that you won’t want to miss!
