In the heart of Melbourne, tucked away underground, lies OTŌTO, the younger sibling of Akaiito. With its serene atmosphere and stylish decor, it’s the perfect escape from the city’s hustle and bustle for a romantic evening.

We started our culinary journey with the Chef’s Tasting Menu, a selection of Asian-inspired Tapas & Snacks. Each dish was a burst of flavour, from the Wagyu Tataki with its tangy truffle ponzu to the Spicy Tuna Tacos packed with freshness.

The Sichuan Bang-Bang Chicken Noodle Salad was a highlight, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. And who could resist the ‘O.F.C’ Ototo Fried Chicken, crispy and flavorful?

For mains, the Steamed Barramundi was cooked to perfection and served with a delicious fermented chilli paste. And dessert, a Chocolate Fondant topped with fairy floss, was the sweet ending to a delightful meal.

The service was excellent, with attentive staff adding to the charm of the evening. Overall, OTŌTO offers a memorable dining experience, perfect for a romantic date night or special celebration.
