Get ready for a vibrant celebration of culture and diversity as the Buddha’s Day & Multicultural Festival returns to Federation Square from May 3rd to May 5th. Presented by Fo Guang Shan Melbourne and Buddha’s Light International Association of Victoria (BLIA VIC), this iconic festival is set to captivate audiences with three days of arts, music, performances, workshops, and Buddhist ceremonies.

Highlights of the Festival:
- Spectacular Fireworks Show: Experience the magic of a mesmerizing Fireworks and Lights Display on Friday and Saturday nights, illuminating the iconic Federation Square.
- Opening Ceremony: Join the festivities on Friday, May 3rd, at 6.30pm for the Light It Up Opening Ceremony. Enjoy cultural performances, traditional Buddhist ceremonies, and inspiring speeches, followed by an unforgettable multimedia Fireworks Display.
- Cultural Experiences: Immerse yourself in cultural ceremonies, guided meditations, and workshops throughout the weekend. Explore the Mindfulness Forest for Ch’an Meditation, visit the Lotus Flower Sanctuary, and experience the tranquillity of the Lumbini Garden.
- Family Fun: Bring the kids along for a day of excitement! Learn the art of Lion & Dragon Dancing, enjoy Puppet Shows, face painting, and indulge in playful activities like Giant Bubbles.
- Multicultural Performances: Don’t miss the diverse lineup of performances on the Federation Square Main Stage. From the City of Melbourne Highland Pipe Band to Jhoom Bollywood, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
